Film: Ironclad (drama)

Director: Jonathan English
Year: 2011
Recommended: On the fence.

This film has historical value as it is based on a true story of medieval England in the 13th century when King John of England signed the Magna Carta.

This English movie is a story of courage, deceit, love and cruelty. It shows how in those times punishment was necessary to maintain “peace” and ensure obedience from the people. The story is good, the acting is average and it is poorly directed.

Noteworthy quotations from this film:

  • “A life fought for others is a life worth living”.
  • “There is worth in every death.”
